GolfToon Beta Program Terms
Effective Date: June 2, 2026
These Beta Program Terms govern participation in the GolfToon Beta Program and apply in addition to GolfToon's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Purpose of the Beta Program
The GolfToon Beta Program exists to allow selected users to evaluate, test, and provide feedback on GolfToon software and services before full public release.
Beta software is intended for testing purposes and may contain defects, bugs, inaccuracies, or incomplete features.
2. No Warranty
GolfToon Beta services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
GolfToon makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy
- Reliability
- Availability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
3. Features May Change
GolfToon reserves the right to add, modify, remove, reset, or discontinue features, workflows, and platform functions without notice.
4. Data Loss and Testing Environment
Users acknowledge that:
- Data may be modified.
- Data may be deleted.
- Test environments may be reset.
- Scoring calculations may change.
- Reports may be inaccurate.
- Tournament results may require independent verification.
Users should not rely solely on GolfToon Beta software for official tournament administration without independent review.
5. Feedback
Participants are encouraged to submit bug reports, suggestions, feature requests, usability feedback, and performance concerns.
By submitting feedback, participants grant GolfToon the unrestricted right to use, modify, implement, and incorporate such feedback without compensation.
6. Confidentiality of Unreleased Features
Participants may encounter experimental, in-development, or unreleased features.
GolfToon requests that beta participants refrain from publicly sharing confidential screenshots, technical details, or unreleased functionality without permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GolfToon shall not be liable for lost tournament results, lost data, scoring inaccuracies, handicap inaccuracies, business interruption, lost profits, or direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Beta Program.
Participation is voluntary and at the user's own risk.
8. No Compensation
Participation in the GolfToon Beta Program is voluntary.
Unless specifically agreed in writing, participants will not receive:
- Monetary compensation
- Royalties
- Revenue sharing
- Ownership interests
9. Eligibility
GolfToon reserves the right to accept, decline, remove, or limit participants at its sole discretion.
Beta access may be revoked at any time.
10. Relationship to Other Agreements
These Beta Terms supplement, and do not replace, GolfToon's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If a conflict exists, these Beta Terms control with respect to Beta Program participation.
11. Changes to the Beta Program
GolfToon may modify, suspend, or terminate the Beta Program at any time.
Participation in the Beta Program does not create a right to continued access.
12. No Reliance on Scores, Results, or Game Calculations
Participants acknowledge that GolfToon Beta software is experimental and may contain errors affecting scoring, handicaps, pairings, standings, flights, game results, unit calculations, reports, and tournament administration.
GolfToon is not intended to serve as the sole source of official tournament or golf game administration. Users are solely responsible for independently reviewing and verifying all scores, standings, results, game summaries, unit calculations, and reports before relying upon them.
GolfToon provides scoring, tournament management, game management, leaderboard, and results-tracking tools only. GolfToon does not accept wagers, process payments, hold funds, facilitate gambling, or participate in any exchange of money between users.
13. Assumption of Risk
Participation in the GolfToon Beta Program is voluntary and undertaken entirely at the participant's own risk. Participants assume all risks associated with the use of beta software, including software defects, service interruptions, inaccurate calculations, data loss, and unexpected behavior.
14. Maximum Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GolfToon's total aggregate liability arising from or relating to participation in the Beta Program shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100), regardless of the nature of the claim or theory of liability.
15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Beta Program Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Participants agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from participation in the Beta Program shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within the State of Oregon.
16. Class Action Waiver
Participants agree that any claim arising from participation in the GolfToon Beta Program shall be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, representative, consolidated, or similar proceeding.
17. No Guarantee of Future Features
Any reference to planned functionality, future development, product roadmaps, feature concepts, or anticipated improvements is informational only and does not constitute a promise, guarantee, or commitment that any feature or functionality will be released.
